Getting Started
Step 1: Roost Questionnaire
Our work together begins simply, with you completing a questionnaire to rule out any major roadblocks. At this stage, we will confirm basic lot dimensions, main home size, setbacks, obvious problem site conditions, utility accessibility, etc. Once complete, we will meet with you to discuss your questionnaire and answer any questions you have in order to help you decide whether to move forward.

Step 2: Feasibility and Planning Approval
Roost’s team completes additional research to help determine whether an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) will be allowed and/or feasible for your property.

Step 3: Design and Building Permit
Continuing to move your project forward, we will provide design drawings including the structural engineering (site specific), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, title 24 energy calculations, and supporting documents as required by the local building department.

Step 4: Place your Order
This is where our larger commitment begins! We’ve walked you through the process and the permits are in hand. We look forward to making your Roost a Reality.

Step 5: Construction and Finish
Roost provides quality control and inspection services at key stages of the manufacturing of your unit. We facilitate the delivery and installation of your ADU.
